Mary had a big birthday pizza party yesterday. Always good to see the family and nice to meet a few of Mary's old friends.
The older cousins were very amused by how Kate and Elise chased after the Tesla remote control cars, especially when Elise finally got one and picked it up like King Kong! Sam was happy that the "monsters" Nick and Patrick chased him and Aaron. Michael enjoyed "air hockey" on the smooth wooden floor with Uncle Ben and me.
Both children and adults' taste in cake were met by two birthday cakes: a devil's food/vanilla frosting childhood favorite and a decadent dark chocolate flourless cake with raspberries and freshly whipped cream. Both times Mary blew out all candles on her first try...so all her wishes should be coming true this year:)
The grand finale was Aaron's expressive dance to Tik Tik Tak by Glyceria. Kate was tapping to the beat here with Michael.
