Neighborhood Tree-Lighting & Caroling

The Stanford Oaks Neighborhood Association held their annual tree-lighting/ caroling event around the corner tonight.

Was fun to join in the singing of such peppy Christmas songs as "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," and "Here Comes Santa Claus." Enjoyed seeing the next-door neighbors we hadn't seen since they so kindly brought over cupcakes when we first arrived. Also caught up with our German neighbors and their dogs Sepp and Kala.

Didn't stay long though because the boys were ready to go home once all the songs had been sung and their bellies were full.

Michael agreed to sit on Santa's lap if I gave him ten "stars" for it. Apparently, when he told Santa he wanted a Nintendo DS for Christmas, Santa assured him, "I'm sure Santa will get you that." Hmmm.
