Patrick and Michael had Friday off from school, so we decided to visit the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield, which Michael had been talking about for weeks. The drive was a bit tedious (2 hours), but we made it and had an excellent tour.
Jelly Bellys really are the best jelly beans and it was fun to get free samples at each stage of the jelly bean's journey--1st just the jelly bean's center, then with an unpolished shell, next with a polished shell, and finally with a stamp of approval.
Patrick enjoyed his Jelly Belly shaped pizza in the café, and we all enjoyed the fall decorations around the factory entrance.
