"Grace Murray Hopper and the Invention of the Information Age" Lecture

Attended and really enjoyed Kurt Beyer's Stanford talk about Grace Murray Hopper on Monday. I was quite tempted to buy his new biography of her, but I am starting to feel overwhelmed by all the books I want to read these days. Aren't I supposed to be trying to write one??

If you don't know who Grace Hopper is, you should learn more about her though--groundbreaking woman! I thought I'd first heard of her on NPR, but when looking for that broadcast, I saw a reference to Levin's freshman address about her, so maybe I read about her first in the Yale Alumni Magazine.

In any case, seems to be a biography well worth reading. And if you have time to read it, send it to me when you're done:)
