Mike had been wanting to go to the San Francisco Zoo, so this Sunday we thought we'd have Aaron join us. The older boys were happy to stay at home for a restful day with homework, Internet, and Amici's pizza while we tried it out.
From the start, Aaron knew he wanted to go on the steam train, and Michael knew he wanted to go to the gift shop. Bonuses were brushing a goat, seeing a koala bear asleep in a tree, finding a hidden peacock, and strolling along the elevated walkway through the lemur forest.
Michael was initially very excited to push the stroller with Aaron in it, so Aaron took advantage of that. After the wait for the train, the novelty wore off for Michael, but Aaron was interested enough in going to the petting zoo that he walked.
I was surprised by how beautiful the zoo was, enjoyed the exotic trees and grasses, and would highly recommend it for a relaxing outing.
